Anthony Palacios is the former Standardized Field Sobriety Testing State Coordinator for the State of Georgia and was one (1) of three (3) full time Impaired Driving instructors for the Georgia Police Academy at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC). Anthony is a certified International Association Chiefs of Police Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Instructor and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Instructor. Anthony was also one (1) of five (5) nationally selected Impaired Driving Instructors to serve as a member of NHTSA's national SFST Assessment and Development Team for the purpose of evaluating and critiquing other State's Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Training Programs.

Key qualifications include:

• Invited to speak at the NACDL / NCDD 12th Annual DUI Seminar, Las Vegas, Nevada

• Trained over 3,000 Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee law enforcement officers and attorneys in the detection of drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs

• Instructed over 4,000 hours in NHTSA Impaired Driving curriculum

• Instructed the NHTSA DUI/SFST practitioner course, DUI/SFST Instructor course, SFST Instructor Update course, and SFST Refresher course over 90 times to law enforcement officers and attorneys

• Instructed the IACP Drug Recognition Expert Instructor course, DRE Pre-School, DRE 7-Day School, and DRE Re-Certification course over 30 times to law enforcement officers

• Instructed the NHTSA Drugs That Impair Driving course over 45 times to law enforcement officers and attorneys

• Critiqued over 1,000 law enforcement officers in the administration of the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests during course Proficiency exams

• Critiqued over 100 law enforcement officers in Drug Recognition Expert 12- step evaluation during course Field Certification Phase

• Evaluated over 300 DUI/DRE narratives for law enforcement officers and prosecutors

• Arrested over 800 impaired drivers and assisted in over 200 additional impaired driving arrests as a DUI Task Force officer and/or DRE Instructor

• Conducted over 130 alcohol workshops dosing over 520 persons with alcoholic beverages observing signs and symptoms of alcohol consumption with breath alcohol readings ranging from .01 to .15 grams.

• Conducted over 1000 analysis of breath samples for alcohol content on Intoxilyzer 5000
