Anthony Palacios is the DUI Detection/SFST and Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) consultant, as well as the CEO of IDS Consulting. Anthony is the former SFST State Coordinator for the State of Georgia and a former SFST/DRE staff instructor for the Georgia Police Academy at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC). Anthony is a former International Association Chiefs of Police Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) Practitioner, Instructor, and Train the Trainer, as well as a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Practitioner, Instructor, and Train the Trainer. While in law enforcement, Anthony trained over 3,000 Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee law enforcement officers and prosecutors in the detection of drivers under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Since forming IDS Consulting in 2008, Anthony has consulted in over 525 DUI/SFST & DRE related cases in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington, DC, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Anthony has lectured overseas, nationally, and at annual state conferences on DUI/SFST & DRE related topics for both prosecutors and defense attorneys.

Reviewed and analyzed over 300 DUI/DRE narratives for law enforcement officers and prosecutors and over 300 DUI/DRE case files for defense attorneys
Arrested over 800 impaired drivers and assisted in over 200 additional impaired driving arrests as a DUI Task Force officer and/or DRE Instructor
Conducted over 130 alcohol workshops dosing over 520 persons with alcoholic beverages observing signs and symptoms of alcohol consumption with breath alcohol readings ranging from .01 to .15 grams.
